Engine 10 Mutual Aid to DeKalb for 2nd Alarm Fire On Thursday December 4, 2008, at 18:05, Cortland Fire received a request for an Engine Company to change quarters for the General Alarm Structure Fire at 808 E. Lincoln Highway. Engine 10 responded with a crew of three. The call was elevated to a 2nd alarm MABAS Box by DeKalb FD command due to the size of the structure and volume of fire. Engine 10 was diverted to the scene by command. Engine 10 arrived and was assigned to exterior operations by command. Engine 10’s crew remained on the scene until 23:30 assisting with various operations. Command released the crew and they returned to quarters. The fire was investigated found to be arson. An arrest was made by the DeKalb Police Department.
