The Cortland Fire Department is proud to announce that it has started ambulance service for the Town of Cortland and residents in The Cortland Fire Protection District. The department will provide an ALS ( Advance Life Support) ambulance 24 hours a day/ 7 days a week. The ALS ambulance is staffed with a licensed Paramedic and a licensed EMT- Basic. The department will also be staffing a BLS (Basic Life Support) ambulance by our volunteer EMT-Basics should it be needed in case the ALS ambulance is out providing service to the town. The BLS ambulance will not be staffed 24/7 and will only be staffed when a callout is made.
